Course overview

From sketching to marketing, students will be introduced to every stage of sustainable design through a comprehensive program of practical, theoretical, artistic and technical instruction. This course will provide them with the knowledge, insight, know-how and methods that are essential to today's and the future's ethical and socially responsible fashion designers.

Their know-how, which combines creativity and technique, makes them skilled professionals, the first link in the textile design chain. Upon completion of your training, you will be able to join an haute couture or ready-to-wear firm, set up your own design/confection workshop, or even launch your own brand.

  • the current market and its impact on the planet (Fast fashion / Slow fashion)
  • the theoretical knowledge needed to create and research environmentally responsible trends
  • to project your ideas and create your own eco-friendly and socially responsible clothing collection

  • to create a custom pattern or one for industrial production
  • how to use the different sewing and assembly techniques used in haute couture and industrial sewing

  • to apply techniques for presenting and marketing collections that are sustainably designed
  • the right reflexes to be operational the day after training

We have designed a comprehensive training program based on 80% practical experience and 20% theory, and focused on four learning areas:

Modelism and creation (714h) :

  • study of measurements

Fashion design (544h) :

Internship (350h during vacations)

Price: 34,500 € for 1,500 hours of class (for 3 years)

Course access

Entry is possible at any time of the year, following an interview to establish the candidate's profile and needs.

Duration and schedule

Training takes place over a total of 1,500 hours spread over 85 weeks (3 years), excluding vacations (except for the internship period).

Classes take place over half-days in the morning or afternoon, and all day on Fridays, according to the following timetable :

  • monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday : 9h to 12h or 13h30 to 16h30
  • friday : 9h to 12h or 13h30 to 16h30

  • semi-industrial machines for a wide range of jobs
  • invisible hems machine
  • industrial electric cutter
  • dual-drive machine
  • industrial buttonhole machine
  • embroiderer machine
  • coating machines

  • high tables for cutting
  • male/female mannequins and one adjustable female mannequin (size 38 to 52)
  • technical and pedagogical pattern sheets based on Rosa Addabbo's method (square, parrot, light table, etc.)
  • haberdashery
  • break room
  • technical platform comprising industrial flatbed stitchers, automatic thread cutters and industrial overlock machines

Evaluation methods

At the end of each module, a theoretical and practical knowledge test will be given. Students must then register for the fashion competition of their choice. Finally, at the end of the course, students will take a final theoretical and practical exam.
