Frequently asked questions

When is the enrollment deadline ?

Applications are open all year round, and students can start at any time! However, the later you send in your application, the more limited the number of places. In any case, a waiting list is open and can guarantee you a place depending on potential cancellations.

How long does it take to find out if my application has been accepted?

Once you have submitted your application, you will usually receive a reply within 2 to 4 days. If your application is accepted, you will be contacted for an interview within a week.

How many students do you accept into your program?

We generally accept between 5 and 15 students, depending on the course. We limit classes to small groups in order to provide individualized assistance.

Can I apply if I don't live in Pézenas or the surrounding area?

Yes, many of our students come from outside Pézenas and the region (and even outside France). As the courses are 100% face-to-face in Pézenas, ESDMI can help you find accommodation in Pézenas during your training.

Do I have to be a French citizen to apply?

No, we accept anyone, regardless of region or country of residence. All courses can be taught in several languages, but all candidates must speak either French, English or Italian.

Do I need to know how to draw or sew before coming to ESDMI?

No, it's perfectly possible to start as a beginner for most courses. On the other hand, for some courses (advanced industrial tailoring, professional alterations, and theatrical costuming), you need to have some notions of sewing before enrolling.

Are there any internships during the courses?

Yes, mandatory internships are included in three courses: fashion design, modelism, and fashion design.

Does ESDMI help its students find internships?

ESDMI gives its students the opportunity to do an internship with Rosa Addabbo Couture, a local partnership company founded by ESDMI's founder. If students wish to pursue another internship, ESDMI is happy to help them find placements elsewhere.

If I am not accepted, can I reapply?

If your application has been rejected, you can register for another course or, if you meet the prerequisites, you can also re-register for the same course and explain why you are now prepared to take this course.
