Rosa Addabbo
With over 40 years' experience at the highest level and a passion for haute-couture excellence, Rosa wants to bring her know-how to the Occitanie region to support the development of the textile and haute-couture industries. Her aim is to pass on her knowledge and skills to all those who want to work in the world of fashion.
Overview
All throughout her career, Rosa has always been on the lookout for details that will enhance a woman's sensuality and personality.
Director of the International School of Fashion in Montreux, stylist for Miss Earth Switzerland, stylist for the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland and for the Geneva business community, she has taken part in numerous conferences on the development of fashion and haute couture in Switzerland (WIPO Geneva) and on women's entrepreneurship.
Her projects
Trained in Italy, Rosa moved to Occitanie in 2019, and in particular to Pézenas, a city of art that she is so fond of. Here, she developed her brand, Rosa Addabbo Couture and, in September 2021, she opened the doors of ESDMI to help designers succeed in the ever-changing world of fashion.
Rosa is also the founder of Fashion Week Occitanie ( FWOC ), a major event where haute couture serves a charitable cause by raising funds for the Montpellier Cancer Institute. Rosa founded it to create a social impact and to open the doors of Occitanie to all those wishing to showcase their artistic and creative talent and who wish to enter the world of fashion and luxury with haute-couture and ready-to-wear.
It's also a great opportunity for ESDMI students to discover the inner world of a major fashion show as if they were at Milan or Paris Fashion Week!
Her accomplishments
- Diploma of Artisanal Excellence in Italy (equivalent to the title of Maître d'Art in France), 2008
- Teaching authorization for apprentices in Switzerland, 2012
- Art artisan of France, 2023
- Prize for fashion couture in Italy, 2024
